Admission Volunteers (OVAL)
How to Sign Up for OVAL
To register as an admission volunteer, first please review our Eligibility Requirements. Then follow these steps:
Go to the Volunteer Login . You will be directed to a Stanford Alumni Association (SAA) login page.
On the SAA login page, enter your SAA username and password. If you do not have a SAA login, or have forgotten it, please follow the prompts on the SAA login page to create or recover it.
Once logged in, you will be directed automatically to the MyOVAL online volunteer system and guided through five registration steps:
- My Personal Information: Please confirm your contact information in the Stanford Alumni Association database. If changes are required, you will be routed out of the MyOVAL system to update your University record. Click Save to return to the MyOVAL registration page.
- Eligibility Confirmation: Answer the questions to confirm your program eligibility.
- Areas of Interest: Use the check boxes to select the volunteer activities that interest you. Hover over each activity for additional information. You are required to select at least one area of interest to create your MyOVAL profile; however, all OVAL opportunities are optional and selecting an interest does not require participation.
- Chapter Selection: Following the prompts, enter a U.S. zip code or country (non-U.S.) to choose a chapter where you wish to participate in OVAL activities. You may have a primary, secondary and tertiary chapter. A primary chapter is required, while secondary and tertiary chapters are optional. Alumni in interview areas who have indicated an interest in alumni interviews will also be prompted to select approximately how many interviews they ideally would like to conduct per interview period . We hope interviewers will conduct at least 4-6 interviews over the course of an admission cycle.
Upon completing your registration, you will be directed to the MyOVAL home page. Please explore the MyOVAL portal, including reading the news items on the home page.Updated on September 11, 2018 9:17 AM
